I have found, recently, that there is an appalling lack of symmetry in my life. In the mirror I scrutinize myself – from the size of my breasts, the slope of my hips, the hollow at my clavicle, the shape of my eyes. I am lopsided. My reality and expectations seem to lack symmetry too. My ability and my performance share the same existence. You can’t reflect on that in the mirror. You can’t dress yourself to hide that. Some things cannot be hidden or repaired.
